Levadia Defeat Paide convincingly and remain unbeaten in the Premium League

FCI Levadia secured an impressive 3–1 victory over Paide Linnameeskond in the 12th round of the Premium League and remain unbeaten this season.

Levadia took control of the match from the opening minutes in Paide. Tambedou opened the scoring in the 11th minute, and just six minutes later Roosnupp doubled the lead. Wendell made it 3–0 in the 24th minute, putting the Green and Whites firmly in command.

Paide managed to pull one goal back from the penalty spot before halftime, but the hosts had no answer in the second half as Levadia controlled the game confidently and secured another important victory.

Head coach Zahovaiko was especially pleased with his team’s start to the match.

“The mood is very positive. We had to work extremely hard for this victory. I am very satisfied with the first 20 to 30 minutes. We came out of the dressing room with great energy and made a strong start. We scored three quick goals and everything seemed to be under our control. Then came one silly mistake and a penalty that gave Paide a spark of hope,” Zahovaiko said after the final whistle.

The coach also praised his team’s reaction after a difficult spell towards the end of the first half.

“We lost our composure a little and had to suffer for a while, but we managed to get through it smiling until halftime. During the break we made some corrections — we needed to organize our defensive block better and our play with the ball was at times untidy. We approached the second half well and then the game was back in our hands.”

Levadia captain Rasmus Peetson conceded the penalty before halftime, but Zahovaiko praised his leader’s performances throughout the season.

“Rasmus has been phenomenal this season. In my eyes he is playing very good football. He enjoys hard work and I like his attitude. It is an honour for me that he is our captain.”

According to Zahovaiko, Levadia’s success so far is built on strong team spirit and hard work every day.

“This is a good period for us right now. The team has come together very well and there is a great atmosphere in the squad. All the boys come to work smiling and leave work smiling. And in between, a lot of hard work gets done.”

After 12 rounds, Levadia remain unbeaten in the Premium League. FCI Levadia’s next match will take place next Sunday at Pärnu Rannastaadion, where they will face Pärnu JK Vaprus.
