We’re coming home from Kuressaare with three points!
FCI Levadia played their Premium Liiga Round 32 match on Saaremaa, visiting FC Kuressaare. The match ended with a convincing 3–0 victory, adding three important points to the table. Next up is the final home game of the season against Paide Linnameeskond!
Starting line-up:
Karl Andre Vallner (GK), Michael Schjonning-Larsen, Tanel Tammik, Mark Oliver Roosnupp, Rasmus Peetson (C), Edgar Tur, Mihkel Ainsalu, Ernest Agyiri, Carlos Torres, Victory Sunday, and Wendell Gabriel.
The first half was eventful, especially for Levadia. Although the opening goal came only in the 26th minute, the team managed to create several dangerous chances inside Kuressaare’s penalty area. The first goal came after a corner situation — the ball remained loose in the box, and after a few attempts, Victory Iboro finally sent it into the net. The scoreboard showed 1–0!
The second goal followed just 11 minutes later. Team captain Rasmus Peetson extended the lead after another well-taken corner – 2–0!
Unfortunately, Peetson received a red card in the 69th minute, which meant he had to leave the field early and will also miss the next match against Paide Linnameeskond.
The third goal came just before halftime — this time from a quick counterattack. Wendell Gabriel provided the assist, sending the ball into the box for Mihkel Ainsalu, who headed it into the net in the 45th minute – 3–0!
The second half was calmer in terms of scoring, and no more goals were added. In the 77th minute, Levadia made four substitutions at once: Wendell Gabriel, Ernest Agyiri, Carlos Torres, and Mark Oliver Roosnupp were replaced by Bubacarr Tambedou, Enock Otoo, Brent Lepistu, and Aleksandr Zakarliuka.
Kuressaare were unable to respond, and Levadia left Saaremaa with a clean sheet and a confident victory.
