Three Points from Narva – Perfect Record Intact!
Today, on April 5th, Levadia’s first team traveled to Narva to face JK Trans in the fifth round of the Premium Liiga. The match ended with a 1–0 victory for Levadia – three valuable points are coming home, and the team remains at the top of the table with a perfect record!
Levadia started the match with the following line-up: Karl Andre Vallner (GK), Michael Schjønning-Larsen, Rasmus Peetson (C), Edgar Tur, Bubacarr Tambedou, Brent Lepistu, Mihkel Ainsalu, Aleksandre Lopes Gomes, Richie Musaba, Enock Otoo, and Joao Pedro.
143 spectators gathered at the stadium to watch the match, many of whom had traveled from Tallinn to support Levadia. However, the weather was far from spring-like – the game was played in just two degrees Celsius, under partly cloudy skies and breezy conditions.
A Fierce First Half
The first half was competitive. Levadia had more possession but failed to create truly dangerous chances. There was a lot of battling in midfield, along with several fouls, as Narva played a physical game. The hosts looked for opportunities on the counterattack and even scored once, but the goal was ruled offside. Levadia’s best attempts came from Otoo and Larsen, both shots narrowly missing the target.
Second-Half Changes and Growing Pressure
Head coach Curro Torres made a change at halftime, bringing on Ahmad Gero for Bubacarr Tambedou. Later, Mark Oliver Roosnupp joined the game and brought more directness and attacking intent. One of the best chances came just before the penalty, when the ball reached the danger zone in front of the goal, but no shot followed. Levadia kept pressing, but the opposing goalkeeper was equal to every effort.
Decisive Moment – Penalty Goal
In the second half, Levadia began to play more down the wings, stretching Narva’s defense. In the 72nd minute, Mark Oliver Roosnupp won a penalty, which Joao Pedro calmly converted. The score: 1–0!
Comeback and Final Push
In the 79th minute, Til Mavretić returned to the pitch after a long injury break! Toward the end, Tanel Tammik and Robert Kirss also came on. Levadia focused on defending the lead, while Narva pushed hard for an equalizer. Despite four minutes of added time, they couldn’t break through.
Victory Secures Top Spot
Final score: 1–0 to Levadia, who remain Premium Liiga leaders with five wins from five!
