The men’s National Team narrowly lost at home to Slovakia. Today, they are playing away against Sweden!

The new head coach of the Estonian National Team, Jürgen Henn, called up five Levadia players for the Nations League matches: Mihkel Ainsalu, Michael Schjønning-Larsen, Ioan Yakovlev, Karl Andre Vallner, and Rasmus Peetson, who had to sit out due to illness. The first match was played on September 5th against Slovakia (0-1). Already today, they will face Sweden away.

On September 5th, the men’s National Team faced Slovakia at home. Among the Levadia players, Mihkel Ainsalu and Michael Schjønning-Larsen started in the lineup. In the 77th minute, Ioan Yakovlev entered the game. In the 90+6th minute, Yakovlev won a free kick near the corner flag for Estonia, but unfortunately, it didn’t result in a goal. Just a few minutes earlier, Yakovlev came very close to scoring. The overall performance was better than before, and the crowd believed in the Estonian team’s success until the very end.

Today, in the second match of the Nations League, Estonia will face Sweden, to whom they lost last time (2-1). The match will kick off today, September 8th, at 9:45 PM. It will be played at Strawberry Arena in Solna. The game can be watched on ETV+.
