The Esiliiga season is underway!

The FCI Levadia U21 side kicked off the 2026 Esiliiga season with a solid victory, defeating Nõmme Kalju U21 2–0 in the opening round.

Levadia’s reserve team took control of the match and managed to convert their chances into goals. The opening goal was scored by Pavlovitš, putting the team in green shirts ahead. In the second half, Elhi doubled Levadia’s lead, securing the team’s first three points of the season.

Although Levadia U21 controlled much of the game and created several dangerous opportunities, head coach Dmitri Kruglov was only moderately satisfied with the overall performance after the match.

“I was more satisfied with the result than with the game itself. We had quite a few chances to score, but unfortunately we couldn’t convert them all. At the end of the first half we gave the initiative to the opponents. The result is still the most positive thing. We have a lot of work ahead of us in every phase of the game,” said Kruglov after the match.

The next match for FCI Levadia U21 will take place next Monday, when they host FC Nõmme United U21 at Infonet Stadium. The match kicks off at 18:00 and will be broadcast live on jalgpall.ee.
