Revenge Taken! Levadia Defeats Pärnu 3–1
Today, October 26, FCI Levadia travelled to face Pärnu JK Vaprus, who had stolen important points in the previous meeting between the sides. This time, however, Levadia took revenge — the match ended with the exact opposite scoreline of their last encounter: 3–1 in Levadia’s favour.
Levadia starting lineup:
Karl Andre Vallner (GK), Michael Schjonning-Larsen, Tanel Tammik, Mark Oliver Roosnupp, Rasmus Peetson (C), Edgar Tur, Mihkel Ainsalu, Til Mavretic, Carlos Torres, Victory Iboro, and Gabriel Wendell.
Levadia started the match with strong pressure — from the first minutes it was clear that the opening goal was not a question of if, but when. The team created several dangerous chances and shots on target, and in the 13th minute, Mark Oliver Roosnupp opened the scoring by converting a precise cross from Edgar Tur. 1–0!
The second goal followed quickly — just a minute later, Til Mavretic doubled the lead after finishing off a quick attack from Mihkel Ainsalu’s assist. Pärnu’s defenders were caught off guard, and the scoreboard showed 2–0!
Just like in their previous meeting, where Vaprus scored all three goals within the first 20 minutes, Levadia did the same this time. In the 19th minute, Mihkel Ainsalu added the third, heading home Edgar Tur’s cross. 3–0!
In the second half, Pärnu came out with renewed energy and put Levadia under pressure. In the 56th minute, young and in-form striker Paalberg reduced the deficit to 3–1. No more goals were scored, and Levadia turned their August defeat into a victory with the exact same scoreline!
There are now just two matches left in the Premium Liiga season — the first one next week in Narva, and the final game on November 8 against Harju JK Laagri at home.
Before that, Levadia will face FC Flora in the Tipner Cup Round of 16 on October 29 at 18:00, at Flora’s home ground.
