Premium Liiga debut – congratulations, Gregor Lehtmets!

Gregor Lehtmets, who joined Levadia from Viimsi at the start of the year, made his first Premium Liiga appearance today in the match against Narva Trans!

Last season’s top scorer in the Esiliiga signed his first professional contract with Levadia at the beginning of the year. The 21-year-old has been training with the team since the start of the season, but an injury kept him off the pitch for a long period. During the pre-season training camp in Spain, he suffered a knee injury that required recovery time.

Lehtmets made his first appearance for the first team on October 12 in the Tipner Cup round of 32 against FC Flora U21, starting the match and scoring two goals.

Today, Lehtmets earned his first Premium Liiga minutes when head coach Curro Torres brought him on as a substitute in the 75th minute. He played in his natural position as a forward.

Lehtmets now has 15 Premium Liiga minutes under his belt — congratulations, Gregor! We wish you lots of success and goals in the matches to come!

In the Esiliiga this season, Lehtmets has played in 16 matches, earning playing time in all of them, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists. In total, he has recorded 1200 minutes in the Esiliiga.
