OFFICIAL: FCI Levadia winger transferred to the Greek second division

FCI Levadia is pleased to announce that Ioan Yakovlev’s playing rights have been acquired by the Greek second division (Super League 2) club Panionios Athens.

Ioan Yakovlev (26), a product of FCI Levadia’s academy who has also played for JK Narva Trans and JK Tallinna Kalev, rejoined FCI Levadia in the winter of 2023. During his time with the Green Shirts, he played 73 competitive matches, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists.

Yakovlev also contributed to winning the Estonian Cup and advancing to the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League. In 2024, he received his first call-up to the national team and scored his debut goal for Estonia. Another Levadia player, Felipe Felicio, also transferred to Panionios Athens earlier this summer.

FCI Levadia thanks Yakovlev for his contributions to the club’s progress and wishes him all the best in his new club!

Ioan Yakovlev: “I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to FCI Levadia for an unforgettable time here. Over the past two seasons, I have grown both as a player and as a person, and I will always cherish the memories and experiences I gained with this amazing club. I want to thank all my teammates, the coaching staff, and the club’s management for their professionalism, dedication, and support. You have all played an important part in my development, and I am grateful for that.

As I now move on to the next chapter of my career with Panionios FC, I wish nothing but the best for Levadia. I hope you continue to achieve great success, and I look forward to seeing how the club evolves in the future. Lastly, I want to extend my thanks for the smooth and professional handling of the transfer process. It has been a pleasure to be part of this great team, and I will always hold Levadia in high regard.”

Viktor Levada: “Yako was an important player for us over the past two years, contributing to the team’s progress while also developing into a national team player. We are pleased that a player nurtured by our club (KTM) is moving to an ambitious foreign club. We are grateful to Yako for his contributions to the team’s success.”

We wish Yakovlev great success and thank him for his efforts!
