Roosnupp and Õigus have been called up to the Estonian National Team

The first training camp of the year awaits the Estonian national team in Marbella, Spain. The head coach Thomas Häberli unveiled the list of 22 players who will gather on Thursday. On Tuesday, January 12 at 16:30 local time (17:30 Estonian time), the Estonian national team will face the Hungarian record champions Ferencvarosi TC Budapest.

Häberli’s selection also includes FCI Levadia strikers Mark Oliver Roosnupp and Karl Rudolf Õigus.

Taijo Teniste, Henrik Ojamaa, Joonas Tamm, Ken Kallaste, Marko Meerits, Rauno Alliku and Edgar Tur will be away from the first training camp of the year for health reasons. As this is not an official FIFA game day, Karol Mets, Nikita Baranov, Artur Pikk, Mattias Käit, Erik Sorga and Georgi Tunjov will not join the team.

The upcoming match is a training game and does not count towards official team games. The team’s training camp will take place from 7 to 13. January and was organized to prepare for the World Cup qualifiers starting in March. It is known that the Estonian team will start a new selection series on March 24 against the Czech Republic, and the international calendar will allow the team to meet only two days before. The second official meeting of the year will take place on March 27, when the team will play away with Belarus.
