Forward Hannes Anier joined FCI Levadia

Forward Hannes Anier (28) has signed an one-year contract with FCI Levadia with the possibility of a further one-year extension.

Last season, Hannes Anier played for JK Tallinna Kalev in the Premium League in 23 games, scored eight goals and gave one assist. There are currently 95 games and 27 goals in the Premium League on his name. Hannes Anier’s previous home clubs are FC Flora, FC Warrior Valga, Odense Boldklubi, FC Erzgebirge Aue and Thisted FC.

According to Hannes Anier, adoption into the team went quickly and despite a minor injury, he feels good and is looking forward to the new season with excitement. “Everything is going great so far. I’m happy to be back at football, start preparing and looking forward to the new season. I got a little injury in the first game of the Winter Tournament, but the recovery is going according to plan – things have been discussed with the team doctor, I am doing restorative training and I am trying to catch up with the team, ”said Anier.

According to the attacker, there is intense competition in every position in the team. “We have good, high-quality players everywhere, the competition is strong and it has a very positive effect on everyone. For my part, I hope to offer an aggressive and fighting game, this is my style. FCI Levadia is a very pressing and dominant team, I try to contribute to this element as much as possible, ”said Anier.

In the upcoming season, for the first time in the Premium League, the fans can enjoy the title duel of the Anier brothers, where Hannes is offered a sharp duel by his older brother Henri, who plays in the frontline of Paide Linnameeskond.

Anier does not set personal goals for the upcoming year, for him the main thing is the good performance of the team. “We go with the team to strive for the highest places. If we can get the maximum out of the team, then individual progress will follow, ” Anier was convinced.

According to Sergei Pareiko, Sports Director of FCI Levadia, the team needed a local striker for the beginning of the season, and a suitable addition was found in the form of Hannes Anider. “We watched Hannes already when she played for JK Tallinna Kalev. In January we talked more specifically and he immediately expressed a desire to show himself at our trainings. He proved himself and we are very happy to sign an agreement with him. We hope that small injuries will be a thing of the past, Hannes can be fully committed to football and bring us the necessary success, ”commented Pareiko.

Hannes Anier is the eleventh winter addition to FCI Levadia – Zakaria Beglarišvili, Karl Andre Vallner, Milijan Ilić, Anton Tolordava, Volodymyr Bayenko, Luka Luković, Aamir Abdallah Yunis, Ernest Agyiri, Frank Liivak and Strahinja Krstevski joined the team.
