Estonian national team striker Frank Liivak joined FCI Levadia

Estonian football team winger Frank Liivak signed a two-year contract with FCI Levadia.

The 24-year-old Liivak has played forFC Flora in the previous three seasons, currently he has 91 games and 27 goals in the Premium League. Liivak previously played for the Netherlands (Almere City FC), Italy (SSC Napoli), Spain (Alcobendas Sport) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (FK Sarajevo). Liivak has 24 caps and 3 goals for Estonia.

“I felt that my time in FC Flora ran out, I needed a change of atmosphere and a fresh energy. I think that FCI Levadia is the right place to continue in Estonia because the atmosphere, emotionality and fighting spirit are more suitable for me,” said Liivak.

“At the moment, everything is moving in a positive way. We have a very big team and equal players for all positions. This is always good if there is a strong competition inside the team. FCI Levadia’s expectations are always high and as players we are especially motivated this year. Our strengths are undoubtedly pressing and moving without a ball, and we also work hard on the physical side. As we have a new team and a lot of players, I think we need to further improve the implementation of our collusion, game image and coach’s philosophy during the pre-season preparation – this is normal and we will get better over time, ” Liivak added.

Liivak believes that his style of play fits well with the general hand of Vladimir Vassiljev and Marko Savić. “I am a player who likes to run on the field. Vladimir and Marko want me to be very mobile and to attack the areas behind the line, which can certainly be my strength. The wingers play important roles in the FCI Levadia game plan and it suits me very well, ”Liivak said.

I am very pleased that we signed a contract with Frank and he will help us move towards the set goals, ”said Pareiko.

Frank Liivak is the ninth winter addition to FCI Levadia – previously Zakaria Beglarišvili, Karl Andre Vallner, Milijan Ilić, Anton Tolordava, Volodymyr Bayenko, Luka Luković, Aamir Abdallah Yunis and Ernest Agyiri joined the team.
