Mihkel Ainsalu and FCI Levadia’s Cooperation Continues Next Year!
FCI Levadia is delighted to announce that midfielder Mihkel Ainsalu has extended his contract, and fans will see him on the Levadia squad again next season.
The 28-year-old midfielder Mihkel Ainsalu plays a crucial role in the FCI Levadia team, serving as both a key player and team leader. Thus, we are very optimistic for the upcoming season. Although we still have our last game of the season this Saturday, Ainsalu has already accomplished great things in the Levadia jersey, and his stats speak for themselves.
In 2024, Ainsalu played in 35 matches, totaling 3090 minutes. This season, he scored 13 goals and provided three assists. It’s also worth noting that he was included on the team sheet 37 times this season, starting in 35 of those games, and was only substituted three times. This means that Ainsalu played from start to finish in 32 of his 35 appearances.
Ainsalu’s history with Levadia began in 2022 when he had to leave his Ukrainian club due to circumstances. A few months with Levadia already proved his value, and after a stint abroad, he returned to Levadia in 2023. That year, he played in 37 matches, accumulating 3283 minutes. Thank you, Mihkel, for your contribution!
Mihkel Ainsalu: “I am thrilled to continue with Levadia next year! Levadia feels like home to me, and I feel very comfortable here. All the boys are together, and I have great faith in this team that next year we will take an even bigger step forward together!”
Club President Viktor Levada: “My strong wish for Mihkel Ainsalu to play at Levadia next season came true today. Mihkel has always given his best, and I am very pleased that we can continue working with one of our team leaders next year. I have great faith in Mihkel, and I believe we will take an even bigger step forward together next season!”
This season, Ainsalu played a key role in securing the team’s title – now we face our last match with Paide Linnameeskond and look forward to next season with great excitement!
