Levadia showed character in the final minutes to secure a point with ten men

In the 4th round of the Premium League, FCI Levadia played out a 1–1 draw at home against Nõmme United. Despite a challenging match and being reduced to ten men, the team managed to apply strong pressure late on and earn a valuable point.

Levadia started the match actively, immediately putting the opposition under pressure. Already in the opening minutes, the team came close to scoring, but a marginal offside call denied an early lead. The attacking play was sharp, with several dangerous situations created, though the finishing touch was missing in key moments.

In the second half, Levadia continued to control the initiative, but the match became more complicated in the 57th minute when Nõmme United were awarded a penalty, which Frolov converted to give the visitors the lead. Just a few minutes later, Levadia were reduced to ten men after centre-back Tanel Tammik received his second yellow card.

Despite this setback, Levadia did not give up. Even with a man down, the team took control of possession and pushed the opposition deep into their own half. The persistent pressure paid off in the 87th minute, when Wendell, returning from a long injury layoff, headed the ball into the net following a precise cross to make it 1–1.

The match highlighted the team’s character and fighting spirit – even in a difficult situation, Levadia managed to take control and secure an important point.

Centre-back Abraham Nwankwo made his Premium League debut, delivering a solid performance in duels. Levadia academy graduate Hubert Liiv also earned his first top-flight minutes, helping maintain defensive balance in the closing stages.

FCI Levadia’s next match takes place this Wednesday, when we host Pärnu JK Vaprus at home. Kick-off on April 12 is at 19:00, with gates opening at 18:00.
