Levadia Players in the National Team Window and Focus Back on the Premium League

Yesterday, on October 14, Estonia played its last home match of the year – against Moldova. With the October international window now behind them, the national team shifts its focus back to the final stretch of the Premium League season.

During this window, the Estonian men’s A national team played two matches – against Italy on October 11 and against Moldova on October 14. Both matches took place at home, in A. Le Coq Arena.

Levadia was represented in the national team by Rasmus Peetson, Michael Schjønning-Larsen, and Karl Andre Vallner. Unfortunately, Vallner had to leave the camp due to injury, but both Peetson and Larsen made it to the starting lineup – Peetson against Italy and Larsen against Moldova.

The match against Italy ended in a 1–3 defeat for Estonia. Rauno Sappinen scored the only goal in the 76th minute. Compared to the previous encounter between the teams in Bergamo, which ended 0–5, Estonia managed to reduce the gap to a two-goal loss. Peetson played the full match against Italy, while Larsen came on at the start of the second half.

The game against Moldova ended in a 1–1 draw. Mattias Käit scored for Estonia, with the assist provided by Michael Schjønning-Larsen, who played the full 90 minutes. Rasmus Peetson did not feature in this match. Back in March, Estonia defeated Moldova away 3–2, with Peetson opening the scoring in that game.

All of Estonia’s home matches for this year are now over, but two fixtures remain – away against Norway on November 13 and against Cyprus on November 18. The first will be a World Cup qualifier, and the second an international friendly.

Now the focus shifts back to the Premium League. Levadia’s squad is training together in full strength, and this Saturday, October 18, they will face FC Kuressaare away. The final home match of the season will take place on Wednesday, October 22 at 19:00 in A. Le Coq Arena.
