
Levadia had to accept Nõmme Kalju’s 2:1 victory at Hiiu
Today, on September 21, FCI Levadia traveled to face Nõmme Kalju in an important Premium Liiga Round 29 fixture. Unfortunately, the team left Hiiu with a 1:2 defeat and now trails league leaders FC Flora by six points.

Match progress
The first half was played under Levadia’s control – possession was at times as high as 70% in their favor. However, chances went unconverted and the teams went into the break with a 0:0 scoreline.
The second half saw more action. Kalju opened the scoring in the 58th minute, capitalizing on a set-piece situation to make it 1:0. Just five minutes later, João Pedro responded with a precise strike to equalize – 1:1.
Both sides pushed forward, but in the 78th minute a penalty was awarded against Levadia, which Kalju converted to restore their lead at 2:1.
Final minutes and table situation
Levadia pressed hard for an equalizer in the closing stages, but despite several good chances the match ended in a 2:1 victory for Nõmme Kalju.
Following the defeat, FCI Levadia remain second in the Premium Liiga standings, six points behind leaders FC Flora. Paide Linnameeskond are third with 55 points, though they have played one match more.
Tallinn derby ahead
The next big challenge awaits on Wednesday, September 24, when Levadia will face FC Flora at A. Le Coq Arena in the season’s final Tallinn derby.
