Friendly Matches Completed, Heading to Training Camp on Friday!
On January 18th and yesterday, January 22nd, FCI Levadia’s first team played their first pre-season friendly matches as part of the Taliturniir tournament against Tartu JK Tammeka and Narva JK Trans. On January 24th, the team will head to Spain to finalize their pre-season preparations!
Match Against Tartu JK Tammeka | January 18 | Paide Football Hall
The first team began their pre-season preparations on January 7. On January 18, they played their first Taliturniir match against Tartu JK Tammeka. Starting for Levadia were Oliver Ani (GK), Mark Oliver Roosnupp, Edgar Tur, Moustapha Bah, Brent Lepistu, Mihkel Ainsalu (C), Robert Kirss, Jevgeni Tšernjakov, Enock Otoo, Henri Järvelaid, and Mohamed Amin Ouertani.
The starting lineup featured scholarship recipient Mohamed Amin Ouertani, youngster Jevgeni Tšernjakov (currently on loan to JK Tallinna Kalev), and new African recruit Enock Otoo.
The first half was calm for both teams, ending 0-0. However, both sides scored in the second half – Tammeka once and Levadia three times. Tartu JK Tammeka’s Mattis Karis opened the scoring in the 51st minute. Levadia then found the net three times, with Richie Musaba scoring a brace. New signing Bubacarr Tambedou also scored his debut goal by converting a penalty in the 80th minute. The final score: 3-1.
Match Against Narva JK Trans | January 22 | Narva Football Hall
Yesterday’s match against Narva JK Trans ended in a 0-3 defeat for FCI Levadia. Both teams had started their Taliturniir matches last Saturday, January 18. Narva JK Trans faced Paide Linnameeskond and Levadia faced Tartu JK Tammeka. Both teams emerged victorious – Trans defeated Paide 2-1, and Levadia beat Tammeka 3-1.
Yesterday’s starting lineup included Karl Andre Vallner (GK), Romeo Aan, Moustapha Bah, Brent Lepistu, Mihkel Ainsalu (C), Robert Kirss, Frank Liivak, Aleksandr Zakarliuka, Hubert Liiv, Maksimilian Skvortsov, and Gregor Lehtmets.
The match marked the debut for Gregor Lehtmets and Romeo Aan in Levadia’s first team.
Despite 17 wins from their last 20 matches, Levadia suffered a 0-3 loss to Trans. Starting sluggishly, Levadia conceded two goals in the first half. Thanks to several excellent saves by Oliver Ani, the score stayed at 0-2 from Levadia’s perspective.
The second half remained the same until the final minutes, when Trans scored again in the 88th minute. The final score: 3-0.
Tomorrow, January 24, we head to Spain to complete the team’s pre-season preparations and return fully ready for the new season! Details about the opponents and schedule for the training camp matches will be announced soon.
The first match of the season will take place at the Viljandi Männimäe Football Hall, where we’ll battle Nõmme Kalju FC for the Super Cup title!
