FCI Levadia’s attacking line gets a boost: Gabriel Wendell joins the club
We are delighted to announce that 21-year-old Brazilian forward Gabriel Wendell is joining FCI Levadia. Wendell arrives from the Ukrainian Premier League club FC Polissya Zhytomyr, bringing youthful energy and attacking strength to our team.
Born in 2004, Gabriel Wendell began his football journey in São Paulo, training at SE Palmeiras’ youth academy. He was part of their U20 squad and regularly earned playing time, collecting 350 minutes across 20 matches.
In the 2023/2024 season, Wendell made his first move to Europe, joining Polissya’s U19 team in February 2024. From July, he was promoted to the reserve team and later to the first team.
For Polissya’s reserve side, Wendell featured in ten matches, accumulating 616 minutes. In the first team, he made four appearances, totaling 121 minutes. With his attacking qualities, Wendell is a great fit for FCI Levadia’s playing style and will surely help strengthen our attacking potential.
We warmly welcome Gabriel Wendell to Tallinn and wish him great success and many goals in an FCI Levadia shirt!
Gabriel Wendell: “I feel very happy about this new opportunity and I’m very grateful to Levadia for their trust.
The reception here was very warm! I came here to help the team in every way — I will never lack commitment and responsibility towards my teammates.”
Viktor Levada: “Our Brazilian journey continues. As we have agreed with our Ukrainian friends from FC Polissya, Wendell will join our club to further strengthen our attacking potential. We look forward to great goals and spectacular victories together. Vamos Levadia!”
