FCI Levadia secured a 3-1 home victory against Tartu JK Tammeka.
FCI Levadia defeated Tartu JK Tammeka with a score of 3-1 in their Premium League home match.
The best opportunity for the visitors came in the 13th minute when Edgar Tur lost the ball to Herman Pedmanson, who passed it to Patrick Genro Veelma. Veelma then sent a through ball to Akaki Gvineria, but the Georgian forward couldn’t score his first Premium League goal due to excellent defensive work by Bourama Fomba.
In the 35th minute, Veelma took a shot from Tammeka’s corner, but Karl Andre Vallner made a save. Vallner then quickly passed the ball to Ioan Yakovlev, who found himself one-on-one with Richard Aland and scored to make it 1-0, with Vallner earning an assist.
Levadia dominated the final part of the first half but went into the break with just a one-goal lead. They started the second half with a desire to control the game, which they managed well.
In the 51st minute, Levadia scored their second goal. Michael Schjönning-Larsen, after combining with Mark Oliver Roosnupp, entered the opponent’s penalty area and took a shot. The ball hit the post, then Aland’s back, and finally went in – 2:0!
Five minutes later, Richie Musaba fouled Pedmanson in front of Levadia’s penalty area, resulting in a free kick for Tammeka. Center-back Tanel Tammik fired the ball into the left corner, bringing Tammeka back into the game – 2:1!
Despite Tammeka’s goal, it was Levadia who controlled the match. Curro Torres’ team secured their third goal in the third minute of stoppage time when Robert Kirss, after receiving a pass from Aleksandr Zakarljuka, dribbled past Rasmus Kallas and tapped the ball into the top corner – a 3-1 victory for Levadia.
With 61 points, Levadia remains the league leader, followed by Nõmme Kalju with 46 points, who have played two fewer games.
