FCI Levadia defeated Pärnu JK Vaprus 3:1 at home yesterday!
On September 22, FCI Levadia played a Premium League round 29 match against Pärnu JK Vaprus at home, at A. Le Coq Arena. While Pärnu JK Vaprus led the home team 0:1 in the first half, the final score on the board showed a 3:1 victory for the home team.
First Half
The first half was rather poor for the home team. FCI Levadia did not show the level of play expected from the Premium League leader, and their performance was lackluster. Pärnu JK Vaprus managed to create one dangerous opportunity in the first 45 minutes, which resulted in a goal. The goal was scored by Enrico Veensalu. The halftime break saw the home team trailing 0:1.
Second Half
At the start of the second half, it was clear that Levadia had returned from the break determined to take control and secure the necessary victory points. They created several dangerous opportunities in the opponent’s box. Already in the 53rd minute of the second half, the always sharp winger Ioan Yakovlev found the back of the net. But Yakovlev wasn’t satisfied with just one goal. Just eight minutes later, in the 61st minute, he scored again, turning the tie into a one-goal lead over Pärnu JK Vaprus.
Both teams were now fighting for the crucial points. While it wasn’t clear until the end of regular time whether Pärnu JK Vaprus would manage to score an equalizer, the match was finally decided in the 90+6th minute by Henri Järvelaid, making it 3:1. This goal was Järvelaid’s first for FCI Levadia’s first team!
The next home match will take place this Friday, September 27, at A. Le Coq Arena, where, in cooperation with Winnerz, we will once again raffle off a TRIP FOR TWO TO EGYPT! Come and support the team, and perhaps luck will smile on you! Tickets are available here.
