FCI Levadia defeated Nõmme United 1-0 in the 22nd round of the Premium League.
FCI Levadia returned to the Premium League after their UEFA Conference League match with a 1-0 victory over Nõmme United.
The team in green jerseys started the away match against Nõmme United with considerable pressure, earning three corner kicks in the first ten minutes. Nõmme managed to withstand FCI Levadia’s pressure in the first half and kept their goal clean.
In the second half, the sole leader of the Premium League made five substitutions and continued to pressure Nõmme United. At the 61st minute, FCI Levadia’s latest addition, Mousta Bah, who was making his debut in the Premium League, came on as a substitute. It seemed that Nõmme United would withstand FCI Levadia’s pressure, but in the 74th minute, they finally broke. Mark Oliver Roosnupp, who came on as a substitute, made an excellent setup on the left wing, skillfully getting past two United defenders and delivering a sharp pass in front of the goal, where Mousta Bah tapped the ball into the net with a single touch. This was Bah’s first match and first goal for the green jerseys in the Premium League.
Although United tried to threaten FCI Levadia’s goal towards the end, they couldn’t create any real danger. Thus, FCI Levadia secured their 17th victory of the season in the Premium League and remains the sole leader.
FCI Levadia’s next match will take place next Saturday, with an away game at Pärnu Beach Stadium against Pärnu Vaprus. The match in Pärnu will start at 19:00 and will be broadcast live on Soccernet TV.
