FCI Levadia brings home the club’s ninth Super Cup!

Today, February 22, at 12:30 PM, the Super Cup final kicked off as FCI Levadia and Nõmme Kalju FC faced off in battle – the match ended in a 3:2 victory for FCI Levadia. FCI Levadia brings home the club’s ninth Super Cup!

The first half of the Super Cup final started at a high tempo – already in the 4th minute, Enock Otoo had a great opportunity! The first shot on goal of the match landed straight into the hands of the opposing goalkeeper. Levadia kept up the pressure, and in the 17th minute, the team in green scored the first goal of the match. The scorer – Richie Musaba!

Levadia clearly dominated the match, and just three minutes later (20′), Ahmad Gero also found the back of the net! Otoo’s shot was blocked by Kalju’s goalkeeper, but the ball fell straight to Gero’s feet, who sent it into the goal with a single touch. The score was 2:0. Levadia had several more chances in the latter part of the first half, but none were converted.

In the 26th minute, Otoo had a one-on-one opportunity but narrowly missed the target. In the 29th minute, Larsen hit the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Ainsalu struck the post. However, a minute before halftime, the opposing team managed to open their scoring. The teams went into halftime with Levadia leading 2:1. As expected in a cup final, both teams were highly motivated, resulting in several yellow cards being shown in the first half.

In the second half, both Levadia and Kalju returned to the field with great determination. Already in the 48th minute, Joao Pedro had a good chance, but the opposing goalkeeper made a successful save. In the 55th minute, the opponents scored the equalizer on a counterattack. The scoreboard showed 2:2.

The game remained intense for both teams, with Levadia and Kalju pushing hard for the winning goal, supported by their fans. In the 69th minute, Levadia had a great opportunity to take the lead again when Tur hit the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Lopes Gomes sent a shot toward the goal, but the goalkeeper managed to intervene once again. Levadia’s pressure was strong, and the winning goal was crucial – just a minute later, Bubacarr Tambedou broke the deadlock and put Levadia ahead 3:2. There were many substitutions and stoppages in the second half, leading the referees to add five minutes of injury time. No more goals were scored – FCI Levadia lifted the Super Cup trophy with a final score of 3:2!
