Euro Summer Continues Tomorrow: Kick-Off at 19:30 Against the Georgian Champions
Already tomorrow, July 23rd, FCI Levadia will face reigning Georgian champions FC Iberia 1999 in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League. The match will take place at A. Le Coq Arena, with kick-off at 19:30. Gates will open for spectators at 18:00. We warmly invite everyone to the stadium to support the team!
With the latest domestic league battle behind us, it’s time to turn our attention back to Europe. Our opponent, FC Iberia, is having a strong season and, just like Levadia, currently leads its national league – the Georgian Erovnuli Liga.
Iberia has played 18 matches so far this season, winning 13 and drawing 5 – remaining unbeaten. They currently have 44 points. Levadia has played 21 matches, winning 16, drawing 2, and losing 3, bringing their total to 50 points. For comparison: when Levadia had played 18 matches earlier this season, their point total stood at 41. This shows that both teams are in great form in their respective leagues and that an intense and even battle awaits.
Curro Torres: “I think the Georgian team is a similar opponent to RFS – they’ll likely press even higher and more aggressively. We need to be ready for that.”
Karl Andre Vallner: “This time, there was less time for preparation than we would have liked – the match against Harju was just three days ago. We’ll only truly see tomorrow what will happen on the pitch.”
