Charity Summer Clash: FCI Levadia vs Nõmme Kalju FC
Tomorrow, on 21 June, FCI Levadia will face Nõmme Kalju FC at A. Le Coq Arena in the 20th round of the Premium Liiga. This is not just a crucial league match but also a special charity event, organised in cooperation with the Minu Unistuste Päev (My Dream Day) foundation. Half of the ticket revenue and all proceeds from the charity auction will be donated to help fulfil the dreams of children suffering from serious or chronic illnesses.
From a sporting perspective, a fierce battle is expected. Levadia currently sits in second place in the league table with 35 points, while Nõmme Kalju is just behind in third with 34 points. The outcome of this match may prove pivotal for both teams as they look to shape the course of their season.
Historically, matches between these two sides have been intense and goal-rich. In their last 20 meetings, Levadia has claimed 13 victories, Kalju has won four times, and three matches have ended in a draw. A total of 62 goals have been scored in those matches – an average of 3.1 goals per game – with 41 goals scored by Levadia and 21 by Kalju.
Their most recent encounter took place on 24 May in the Tipner Cup final, which ended 3–3 in regular time. Nõmme Kalju triumphed in the penalty shootout, winning 4–1. For Levadia, Mihkel Ainsalu, João Pedro and Brent Lepistu were on the scoresheet.
The charity aspect gives this match a special meaning. FCI Levadia will donate 50% of ticket sales to Minu Unistuste Päev. For example, €2.50 from a €5 ticket and €5 from a €10 ticket will be donated. In addition, a charity auction took place prior to the game, featuring player jerseys and items donated by public figures. The full auction revenue will be donated to the foundation, and the total amount will be announced during the match once all items have been claimed.
The matchday offers a variety of activities for the whole family. A children’s area will be open in cooperation with Halos Children’s Centre, and Minu Unistuste Päev’s volunteers will host creative workshops. The friendly lion Leff will also be present for photos. Visitors can write down their dreams and hang them on the Dream Tree, enjoy snacks and drinks from Amps café, and purchase official Levadia fan merchandise. During the first half, autograph cards will be distributed to children, who can collect player signatures after the match.
Kick-off is at 14:30, with gates opening at 13:30. The winners of the charity auction will be announced during halftime, along with additional entertainment.
This event unites football and social responsibility – a day where the game transcends the pitch. FCI Levadia invites everyone to join in and be part of a meaningful day at A. Le Coq Arena.
