ALREADY TOMORROW: FCI Levadia vs NK Osijek (Curro: It’s important to defend the club’s logo. Peetson: Attack from the start!)
FCI Levadia hosts NK Osijek in a decisive Conference League match tomorrow. The first leg was lost away 1:5 due to individual mistakes – tickets for tomorrow’s game are available on Piletitasku.
What did the team’s head coach Curro Torres and captain Rasmus Peetson say at the pre-match press conference?
“It’s very important to fight competitively, with a good game, anything is possible. I know it’s difficult, but not impossible. It’s important to play good football tomorrow,” said head coach Curro Torres.
“In my opinion, we lost only because of individual mistakes, but we played well. We need to improve and develop on an individual level. When you play in Europe, you have to defend your club’s logo – this is very important for me and the players!” Added Curro.
“The individual mistakes from the last game are experiences for my players. If we want to develop in Europe, we must use this opportunity for players to grow and make better and smarter decisions in the future,” said Torres.
“The emotion was tough because we felt we could compete with this opponent and we have the quality. The game was overshadowed by individual mistakes, unfortunately. It’s not embarrassing, but rather a bad feeling inside because we felt we were capable of more,” said captain Rasmus Peetson.
“It constantly happens, it has to!” Peetson replied to the question of how much the players discuss their individual mistakes within the team. “We have to be honest with each other.”
“We have to play a nearly perfect game if we want to advance from this tie! If we avoid similar mistakes, it is possible!” Believes Peetson.
“The battle will definitely be tough because we are still going to try, for some it might be a miracle, to advance – we are going into this game 100%. Attack from the start!” Promised the team captain.
