A Powerful Start to the Season! We Defeated Harju JK Laagri with a 5:0 Victory.

Yesterday, on February 28, the 2025 Premium League season kicked off as we hosted Harju JK Laagri at Sportland Arena in the first match of the season. The match ended with a convincing 5:0 victory for FCI Levadia!

The first half began patiently for Levadia, yet with purpose and hunger. Attack after attack confirmed that the reigning champions were eager to open the scoring as quickly as possible. The match was largely played in Harju’s half in the opening minutes, with the opposing team pressed tightly into a corner. Already in the 9th minute, Tanel Tammik, who came from Tartu, scored his debut goal in the Premium League in Levadia’s jersey. After a corner kick by Joao Pedro, Otoo struck the ball towards the goal, and following Baturins’ save, the loose ball landed perfectly at Tammik’s feet – 1:0!

A similar scenario led to Levadia’s second goal in the 26th minute. Otoo’s corner kick sent the ball into the box, where it bounced towards Richie Musaba on the edge of the six-yard box. Musaba did not miss the opportunity, and Levadia was now leading Harju 2:0! The halftime break came with the home team holding a 2:0 advantage.

Levadia entered the second half with even greater determination – already in the 47th minute, Levadia scored again, with Bubacarr Tambedou as the goalscorer. 3:0! Just two minutes later, Harju’s goalkeeper, Edgar Tur, deflected a cross into his own net. An own goal – the scoreboard showed 4:0!

In the 63rd minute, Ghanaian Enock Otoo opened his scoring tally in the Premium League by skillfully directing the ball into the net from the edge of the box, leaving the goalkeeper no chance to react – 5:0! The best player of the match was named Enock Otoo, who recorded one goal and two assists in the game.

The starting lineup for FCI Levadia included Oliver Ani (GK), Michael Schjonning-Larsen, Tanel Tammik, Rasmus Peetson (C), Edgar Tur, Bubacarr Tambedou, Mihkel Ainsalu, Aleksandre Lopes Gomes, Richie Musaba, Enock Otoo, and Joao Pedro.

FCI Levadia thanks the fans who came to support the team in the first match – it means a lot to us! Together, we made history – the 529 attendees at yesterday’s match set a new record for FCI Levadia’s first home game of the season! Our next match is already on Tuesday, March 4, in the Estonian Cup quarter-finals, where we will host the II League team FC Zapoos! Tickets are available on Piletitasku.
