A Physiotherapist from the Reserve Team Joins FCI Levadia’s First Team!

FCI Levadia’s first-team staff has once again grown, this time with the addition of a physiotherapist. Welcome to the team – Gretemari Metsaveer!

Gretemari earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Tartu. She then furthered her studies in Spain at the Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid – Universidad Europea in Madrid. During this time, she also completed an internship at Real Madrid’s sports complex, Ciudad Deportiva de Valdebebas, working with the Real Madrid Juvenil A team. Additionally, Gretemari holds an EQF Level 4 personal trainer certification.

Previously, she worked as a physiotherapist for one and a half years at the Haapsalu Neurological Rehabilitation Center and another one and a half years with the Pärnu JK Esiliiga team.

In July 2024, Gretemari joined Levadia’s reserve team, and now she is officially part of the first-team staff!

Why did you join FCI Levadia?

I joined FCI Levadia because it is one of Estonia’s leading football clubs, with ambitious goals and a professional environment. I wanted to be part of a top-level team where I can help players stay healthy, recover from injuries, and reach their peak performance on the field.

What will your daily tasks with the team include?

My responsibilities include assessing players’ physical condition, injury prevention, and overseeing rehabilitation processes. I also support players before and after training sessions and matches, providing massages, taping, physiotherapy treatments, and first aid when needed.

What do you love most about your work?

I love the opportunity to help athletes reach their best form and see their progress. I enjoy working in a dynamic environment where every day brings new challenges and being part of a team where everyone strives toward a common goal.
