FCI Levadia thrash Narva Trans 7:0 in final first-round Premium Liiga match

FCI Levadia завершed the first round of the Premium Liiga in dominant fashion, defeating Narva Trans 7–0 at the home ground Sportland Arena. This was the Round 9 fixture and also the final match of the opening round, where Levadia showed clear superiority from start to finish.

First half: Levadia lay the foundation for a big win

Levadia immediately took control at Sportland Arena, creating chance after chance. Four of them were converted in the first half, with at least as many left unfinished. Wendell opened the scoring in the 17th minute, beating defenders in front of goal and tapping in Mark Oliver Roosnupp’s pass from five metres – 1–0!

Roosnupp added the second himself in the 24th minute when the ball bounced kindly to him in the box after a duel – 2–0! In the 30th minute, Wendell worked his way past several defenders and struck from around 12 metres to make it 3–0! Five minutes later, Bubacarr Tambedou broke behind the defensive line and calmly rolled the ball past Mark Zahharov – 4–0!

Second half: substitutes seal the emphatic victory

Trans came out after the break determined to fight for pride, and for a while the game became more balanced. Soon, however, the match returned to its earlier pattern, with Levadia’s hungry substitutes adding to the tally. Enock Otoo scored two शानदार goals, while Tambedou added another to complete the 7–0 scoreline! Gregor Lehtmets came close to his first top-flight goal, heading against the crossbar from close range.

FCI Levadia move top of the table

With today’s win, FCI Levadia added three more points and moved back to the top of the Premium Liiga standings. Levadia now have 21 points from nine matches and remain the only unbeaten team. Nõmme Kalju FC sit two points behind, while Paide Linnameeskond are third, a further two points back. Round 10 matches will take place next weekend, with Levadia hosting Kuressaare Linnameeskond.

Next home match at A. Le Coq Arena

Levadia’s next match takes place on May 9 at 14:30 at A. Le Coq Arena. It will be the first home game of the season played on natural grass – come and support the team!
