FCI Levadia U19 reached the Elite League Meistriliiga semifinals!

During the first half of the week, on February 10 and 11, the third round matches of the U19 Elite League Meistriliiga regular season were played. FCI Levadia U19 defeated Nõmme Kalju 11–0 and thereby secured their place in the next stage! In Group A, FC Flora also secured qualification for the semifinals.

In the regular season, all teams compete in two groups of four, playing each other once. This means that each team plays three matches, and the two best teams from each group advance to the finals tournament.

To qualify from the group to the semifinals, the U19 team needed to defeat their peers from Kalju. The youth team did exactly that, beating Nõmme Kalju 11–0 on Tuesday! The full match report is available here.

Group A

Before the final round, several scenarios were still possible in Group A. Tallinna FC Flora were at the top of the table with six points and had virtually secured qualification. In the final round, Flora confirmed their superiority by defeating Pärnu JK Vaprus 3–0. Earlier, they had also earned 4–1 victories over both Tallinna FCI Levadia and Nõmme Kalju FC. Flora completed the group stage with a perfect record and finished first. Levadia advanced to the semifinals in second place after their 11–0 victory over Nõmme Kalju in the final round. For Vaprus, a win against Flora would have given them a chance to finish in the top two, but the defeat left them out of the semifinals.

Group B

In Group B, the match scheduled for February 11 between FC Nõmme United and JK Tallinna Kalev was postponed due to player illness. FC Nõmme United have secured a semifinal spot with two wins and six points from two matches. They defeated Paide Linnameeskond 4–0 in the opening round and JK Narva Trans 2–0 in their second match. Narva Trans and Tallinna Kalev have both collected four points, but Kalev still have one match in hand. If the postponed match between Kalev and Nõmme United ends in a United win or a draw, Nõmme United and Trans will advance to the semifinals. If Kalev win, they will move to the top of the group and also advance to the semifinals.

The new date for the postponed match will be announced as soon as possible on the Estonian Football Association’s website. The semifinals are scheduled for April 29 and 30, where the winner of Group A will face the runner-up of Group B, and the winner of Group B will face the runner-up of Group A.

The semifinal winners will meet in the U19 Elite League Meistriliiga final on May 22 at Pärnu Beach Stadium. The league winner will also earn a place in the UEFA Youth League.
