FCI Levadia Defeats Pärnu Vaprus in Second Pre-Season Friendly
FCI Levadia played their second pre-season friendly of the year on Wednesday as part of the Winter Tournament, securing a 3–2 victory over Pärnu JK Vaprus.
The match, held at the Estonian Football Association indoor hall, started nervously for the home side. Vaprus showed strong intent from the opening minutes and took an early lead in the second minute, when Allas converted a corner kick to make it 0–1.
Levadia needed time to settle into the game, but in the 38th minute Bubacarr Tambedou capitalised on a misplaced back pass from Vaprus to equalise – 1–1. Although Levadia’s play improved after the goal, it was the visitors who struck next, as Viidas finished a quick counter-attack to restore Vaprus’ lead. The first half ended 2–1 in favour of the visitors.
Unlike the previous match, Levadia made no changes at half-time. Clearly dissatisfied with the scoreline, the Green-Whites came out strongly after the break and found the equaliser in the 51st minute. Skvortsov’s corner was met inside the six-yard box by Tambedou, who scored his second goal of the match – 2–2.
Before the planned substitutions around the 60th minute, Levadia increased their pressure. Wendell was fouled inside the penalty area, earning a spot kick for the hosts. Mark Oliver Roosnupp stepped up and confidently converted the penalty, sending the ball into the top corner to make it 3–2.
Following the go-ahead goal, Levadia made several substitutions, with only Karl Andre Vallner and Hubert Liiva remaining on the pitch from the original lineup. Despite continued attacking efforts, no further goals were scored and Levadia secured a 3–2 win.

Levadia demonstrated strong character by coming back from behind twice to claim victory — a quality that will be crucial when the Premium Liiga season begins in a month’s time.
FCI Levadia’s next Winter Tournament match will take place at the end of January at the EFA indoor hall, where they will face Narva JK Trans. Kick-off is scheduled for 18:00, with live coverage on Soccernet TV.
