Thank you, Curro and Soto! FCI Levadia will always be your home!
FCI Levadia’s first team and the current head coach Curro Torres together with assistant coach Jose Vicente Soto will part ways and continue on different paths. The coaches joined the club for the 2023 season, and over the course of three years the team achieved remarkable results under their leadership.
Achievements 2023–2025
- Tipner Cup: winners twice
- Premium Liiga: champions in 2024, runners-up twice
- Supercup: winners in 2025
Seasons with the Spanish coaching duo
2023 (first season):
FCI Levadia finished second in the league by a narrow margin. The final round ended in a draw against Paide Linnameeskond – a win would have secured the title. Season summary: 22 wins, 3 losses, 11 draws from 36 matches; goal difference +43; total points: 77.
2024 (second season):
A historic treble – Premium Liiga, Tipner Cup, and Supercup. The team dominated the league, finishing with 87 points: 27 wins, 6 draws and only 3 losses, with a goal difference of +63. The championship secured a place in the 2025 UEFA Champions League.
2025 (third season):
The goal was to reach the group stage of a European competition. After exiting the Champions League in the first qualifying round and falling in the third round of the Conference League, the team’s league performance also suffered. The title just slipped away — second place with 79 points: 25 wins, 4 draws, 7 losses, goal difference +53.
Personal awards
Curro Torres received numerous recognitions, including multiple “Coach of the Month” awards and several selections to the league’s Team of the Month.
Curro Torres:
“Today I close a chapter that has meant much more than work and football to me. These have been three years of life, growth and deep emotion, and I want to say goodbye in the way this club deserves: with gratitude, affection, and my heart fully open.
I want to start by thanking my players, because you were the engine of my everyday life. There are no words to express what you mean to me. We shared trainings, challenges, difficult moments and unforgettable joys. Each one of you taught me something, and I leave with enormous respect and affection for all you’ve given—your effort, your commitment, your brotherhood and the trust you always placed in me.
You are the soul of the locker room, and it has been an honor to walk this journey with you.
To the sporting directors — Micha, Dima, Andrei and Gurchi — thank you sincerely for believing in me from the very beginning. For your constant support, for being close, for listening, for guiding, and for making the work easier and more human. I have always felt backed, valued and accompanied, and that has meant more than you can imagine. It has been a privilege to work with you and to be part of such a special project.
And I want to give a very heartfelt thank-you to all the club’s workers: those who are here every single day, quietly and without the spotlight, making sure everything runs like a family. From the kit managers to the office staff, maintenance, communication, physiotherapists, and everyone whose daily effort keeps this club moving.
Thank you for your dedication, your kindness, your conversations, your details, and for always being there. Without your work, nothing that happens on the pitch would be possible. You all stay in my heart.
These three years have given me lessons, friendships and memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I leave feeling that I gave everything, but above all, that I received even more: support, trust and a sense of home that is not easy to find in football.
I move forward with pride, gratitude and a bond that will never break.
This club will always be a part of me. And no matter what happens, I will always have a home here.“
We sincerely thank Curro and Soto for their professional work with the first team — the results were exceptional and the ambitions high! The contribution of Curro Torres and Jose Vicente Soto to FCI Levadia and Estonian football has been extremely positive throughout these three years. We can confidently say that under Curro’s leadership both the team and the club made a significant step forward.
We wish both coaches sincere success in their future endeavours! The doors of FCI Levadia will always remain open for you!
