
Levadia’s convincing 4–0 victory secured progress in the cup – U21 and U17 players made their debuts!
On October 12, FCI Levadia hosted a Tipner Cup Round of 32 match at its Maarjamäe training base against FC Flora’s reserve team. Levadia claimed a solid 4–0 win and advanced to the next round. The match also saw debut appearances from the club’s U21 and U17 players.
During the international break, Levadia faced their long-time rivals, FC Flora’s reserves. The team was without captain Rasmus Peetson and Michael Schjønning-Larsen, who were away on national team duty, as well as the injured Karl Andre Vallner.
Levadia starting lineup:
Oliver Ani (GK), Mark Oliver Roosnupp (C), Brent Lepistu, Robert Kirss, Richie Musaba, Frank Liivak, Aleksandr Zakarliuka, Carlos Torres, Victory Sunday, Gregor Lehtmets, and Kaua Davi.
The match, which kicked off at 15:00, began with Levadia’s expected strong pressure. In the 14th minute, Gregor Lehtmets opened the scoring and doubled his tally ten minutes later, putting the hosts 2–0 ahead.
Before halftime, Robert Kirss extended Levadia’s lead to 3–0. No more goals were scored in the first half.
Given the comfortable lead, head coach Curro Torres introduced two players making their first-team debuts in the second half. Tristan Zahovaiko, who plays for Levadia U21, came on in the 46th minute, while Alexey Sažin from Levadia U17 entered the field in the 77th minute.
In the second half, Flora’s reserves showed stronger resistance, and no goals were scored until the 85th minute, when Brent Lepistu fired in from distance to make it 4–0.
With this victory, FCI Levadia advanced to the Tipner Cup Round of 16, where they will face FC Flora’s first team. The match will take place on October 29 at 18:00 at A. Le Coq Arena and will be Flora’s home fixture.
Levadia will return from the international break tomorrow, after the Estonian national team concludes its window with a match against Moldova. The team will resume full training on Wednesday, and the Premium Liiga continues on Saturday, October 18, when Levadia travels to face FC Kuressaare. Kick-off is at 14:30, and the match will be broadcast on SoccernetTV.
Levadia’s final home match of the season will take place next Wednesday, October 22, at A. Le Coq Arena against Paide Linnameeskond. The fixture will also serve as the club’s birthday match – fans, families, and friends are warmly invited to join the celebration. Tickets are available via Piletitasku.
