Estonia national team faces Italy and Andorra in September – 6 “greenshirts” called up!
The Estonia men’s national football team has two matches coming up in September – first, a World Cup qualifier against Italy on 5 September in Bergamo, followed by a friendly against Andorra on 9 September at A. Le Coq Arena.
Head coach Jürgen Henn announced a 26-player squad. Included are Taijo Teniste and Konstantin Vassiljev, who will play their farewell games and join the squad on 7 September.
Several previously capped players are absent this time, including captain Karol Mets, who is sidelined due to injury. However, FCI Levadia is again well represented with six players: Karl Andre Vallner (GK), Rasmus Peetson, Michael Schjonning-Larsen, Edgar Tur, Mihkel Ainsalu, and Tanel Tammik. Additionally, Ioan Yakovlev, who played for Levadia last season, has also received a national team call-up.
Match schedule:
- Italy – Estonia (World Cup qualifier): 5 September, 21:45 EET, Bergamo
- Estonia – Andorra (friendly): 9 September, 19:00, A. Le Coq Arena
Both matches can be watched live on ETV2, and events will be covered textually on Soccernet.ee. We wish success in September to all Levadia players and the entire Estonia national team!
