FCI Levadia Facing Crucial Second Leg Against FC RFS: Fan Buses Head to Riga
Tomorrow, July 15, the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round second leg will take place at LNK Sporta Parks Stadium in Riga. FCI Levadia will face Latvian club FC RFS in an away match.
The first leg was played at home, at A. Le Coq Arena, last Tuesday, July 8. Now, the return match will be held in Riga. FCI Levadia departed this morning from their training base in Maarjamäe to hold a pre-match training session and press conference in Riga.
The first match ended in a narrow 0–1 defeat for Levadia. The only goal of the game came after a long VAR review, when the referee awarded a penalty for a handball by Mihkel Ainsalu in the penalty area. The penalty was converted, and no further goals were scored.
The match was very evenly contested, and tomorrow a strong fight is expected from both sides, as both teams aim to advance to the next round.
Fan buses will also be traveling to Riga. If you’d like to join, please let us know by sending a message to our Instagram channel! The bus departs tomorrow at 13:00 from A. Le Coq Arena and will return at around 2 AM. The club will cover the bus costs.
Let’s all support Levadia together!
