Training Camp Midway Summary. Two More Friendly Matches Before the Super Cup Final!

As part of the ongoing training camp in Spain, the team has already played five matches, the latest two against Valencia B and FC Kryvbass. Unfortunately, both matches ended in losses.

The fourth match of the training camp took place last Wednesday, February 5, with kickoff at 12:00 Estonian time. The game was held at The Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna. Valencia B plays in the fourth tier of Spanish football and is currently in ninth place in the league table. Between 2014 and 2017, FCI Levadia’s current head coach, Curro Torres, managed this team. Torres also played for Valencia during his career. The match against Valencia B ended in a 0-2 defeat.

Levadia’s starting lineup included Oliver Ani, Frank Liivak, Rasmus Peetson, Tanel Tammik, Henri Järvelaid, Aleksandr Zakarliuka, Mihkel Ainsalu, Richie Musaba, Joao Pedro, Enock Otoo, and Ernest Agyiri, who recently rejoined the team.

The fifth match of the training camp was played yesterday, February 9, against Ukrainian Premier League team FC Kryvbass. The match kicked off at 16:00 Estonian time. Kryvbass currently sits in a strong fourth place in their league table. The match ended in a 1-4 defeat for Levadia.

Levadia’s starting lineup included Karl Andre Vallner, Frank Liivak, Rasmus Peetson, Tanel Tammik, Michael Schjönning-Larsen, Aleksandr Zakarliuka, Mihkel Ainsalu, Robert Kirss, Joao Pedro, Enock Otoo, and Ernest Agyiri.

Levadia opened the scoring in the 21st minute, with Enock Otoo, who joined the team this year, netting the first goal for a 1-0 lead. However, just two minutes later, in the 23rd minute, the opponents equalized, and the match went into halftime tied 1-1.

The first part of the second half remained balanced until the 70th minute. However, the opposition managed to score three more goals in the final stages of the match, sealing the 1-4 final score.

On February 11, the team will face Villarreal, followed by a match against Hércules CF on February 13. The squad will return home on February 14, and just a week later, on February 22, they will play in the Super Cup final in Viljandi, Männimäe Football Hall!
