Experienced Karel Voolaid Joins FCI Levadia’s First-Team Coaching Staff!

FCI Levadia is pleased to announce that 47-year-old UEFA PRO license holder Karel Voolaid has joined the first-team coaching staff!

Karel Voolaid is a familiar name in Estonian football. He began his coaching career leading Estonia’s youth national teams, spent a year with TPS in Finland, and then returned to coach various Estonian youth teams. In the summer of 2019, Voolaid became the head coach of the Estonian senior national team, a role he held until the end of 2020. After a two-year break from football, he joined Paide Linnameeskond as the head coach of their first team, leaving the club before the summer of 2023. Before joining FCI Levadia, he worked as an assistant coach for Riga FC. As a coach, Voolaid has won the Tipner Cup and the Supercup!

I also wish to thank Sporting Director Mihhail Gulordava for professionally managing the negotiation process. Additionally, I want to extend my gratitude to Curro, Soto, and the first-team staff for their trust. I will give my maximum effort to ensure that the club’s goals are achieved. My main responsibilities include opponent scouting, match analysis for the first team, preparation for training sessions in collaboration with the staff, and the positional development of players.”
