The Last Game of the Season Takes Place in Paide!

The season’s final stretch has arrived again, and this Saturday, November 9, we will face Paide Linnameeskond on their artificial turf in Paide for our last match of the season. The match kicks off at 12:30.

HEAD-TO-HEAD MATCHUPS: Premium League 2024

This year, FCI Levadia has already met Paide Linnameeskond four times – three times in the Premium League and once in the Tipner Cup final. In all the games played this season, FCI Levadia has claimed victory. Will that be the case again this Saturday?

The first meeting took place in late March at Sportland Arena when we hosted Paide as the home team. We went into halftime with a 1-0 lead after Til Mavretic scored a penalty in the 24th minute. The final score remained 2-0, with Bourama Fomba scoring in the 64th minute of the second half.

The second game was held on May 1, also at Sportland Arena. This time, we started strong, with left-back Michael Schjønning-Larsen scoring in the 8th minute off an assist from Ioan Yakovlev. Once again, Paide couldn’t respond, and the final score was 1-0.

The most recent Premium League match was held on May 29 at Paide City Stadium. Both teams went scoreless in the first half, ending at 0-0 at halftime. Similar to the two earlier Premium League meetings, Paide didn’t score, and only Levadia managed to get on the scoreboard in the second half. Richie Musaba scored in the 54th minute, and the match ended with a 1-0 victory for FCI Levadia.

A bit before this latest Premium League matchup, the Tipner Cup final took place. On May 25, the Tipner Cup winner was decided at A. Le Coq Arena. This game was more intense than the previous ones! Levadia trailed 0-2 at halftime after Paide’s Saarma and Agyepong scored in the 12th and 35th minutes. However, Levadia came back from halftime hungry and scored three goals in the second half: Mihkel Ainsalu in the 48th minute, Joao Pedro in the 73rd, and Michael Schjønning-Larsen in the 82nd. But that wasn’t all – in the 55th minute, Paide’s goalkeeper scored an own goal, ending the game at 4-2.

LAST 20 GAMES: Statistics

THE LAST GAME OF THE SEASON: FCI Levadia – Paide Linnameeskond

FCI Levadia secured the 2024 Premium League title on October 19 when they traveled to Tartu JK Tammeka and defeated them 3-0. Looking at the Premium League standings, Levadia’s 87 points put them far ahead of the following teams.

However, the 2nd-4th places in the table remain undecided before the final round. Currently, Nõmme Kalju FC is in second place with 69 points, Paide Linnameeskond is in third with 69 points as well, and FC Flora is in fourth with 67 points. While we battle against Paide, Nõmme Kalju FC and FC Flora will also face off in their final game. The top three will be finalized after the last whistles of all three matches.

As tradition goes, the trophy will be awarded in the last game of the season – this time at the artificial turf field in Paide. We invite all loyal FCI Levadia fans to come and support us in Paide for the last match! For those who can’t make it, the game will be broadcast on ETV.
