6:1 victory over Kalev: Wendell’s debut match and goal, Joao Pedro’s hat-trick!

Today, August 17, FCI Levadia returned to the Premium Liiga in full force, facing JK Tallinna Kalev in Round 24. The away match ended with a convincing 6:1 win for Levadia – plenty of reason to celebrate!

Levadia started the match with the following lineup: Karl Andre Vallner (GK), Michael Schjønning-Larsen, Tanel Tammik, Rasmus Peetson (C), Bubacarr Tambedou, Ernest Agyiri, Til Mavretic, Frank Liivak, Carlos Torres, Joao Pedro, and Maksimilian Skvortsov.

This time, the team fielded a slightly different lineup – the European campaign has been intense, and key players were given well-deserved rest. The decision paid off right away: in the 4th minute, Carlos Torres passed to Bubacarr Tambedou, whose shot was saved by the Kalev goalkeeper, but the rebound fell to Joao Pedro, who calmly slotted it into the empty net – 1:0!

The first half was dominated by Levadia, with clear control of possession. Several chances went unconverted, and in the 31st minute Kalev equalized, making it 1:1. Just before the break, Ernest Agyiri found the net with a clever finish, sending Levadia into halftime with a 2:1 lead.

The second half saw an even hungrier Levadia, adding four more goals!

In the 57th minute, Joao Pedro scored his second, finishing off a fine pass from Schjønning-Larsen – 3:1.
In the 63rd minute, Bubacarr Tambedou was substituted by Gabriel Wendell, who made his Premium Liiga debut. The Brazilian quickly got involved and, in the 75th minute, scored his debut goal – 4:1!
In the 83rd minute, Ernest Agyiri added his second of the night with a smart toe-poke over the keeper – 5:1.
In stoppage time, Joao Pedro completed his hat-trick. Levadia won a penalty in the 90+3rd minute, which the Kalev goalkeeper initially saved, but Pedro reacted fastest to the rebound and sent the ball into the net – 6:1!

A commanding victory for Levadia!
